There appears to be a feeling that the answer to our performance dimension, ownership and incentive problems rest in what we do to the workforce. If what we should do now to the workforce is not working then we have to change what we should “Do” to the workforce. My experience indicates that the problems are not triggered with what we “Do” to the workforce, they are triggered by the mindset that believes that as managers we can change the labor force to “Do” what we wish. This way of thinking is the cause of the failing.

The biggest part of the answer is so easy, stop informing people how to proceed. How will you tell individuals who telling people what to do is wrong? Or do you do this at all? What do managers have to do? The only thing that managers should do is to listen to what the labor force want and give it to them.

What management have to get up to date with is listening to the workforce. For most managers this is extremely difficult because when they become managers they undergo a divine change that confers in it an absolute ability to know what is best because of their workforce, much better than the labor force themselves. Nobody has been told how to proceed.

We have simply allowed the labor force to become as good as they can be by detatching the road blocks that managers devote their way and the resulting performance makes the managers ask, How did you do that? And because they have asked we is now able to inform them, because they asked. We need not get the managers to “Do” anything different. They will shape it out for themselves when they see what’s happening to the workforce and their important thing. How do you tell people that telling people what to do is wrong? Make sure they are inquisitive about what’s possible Just, they shall get the others on their own.

Click Create and you’ll be studied to their project plan. For the purposes of the tutorial, choose the free Designer plan click Continue then. Go directly to the Schema tab. Utilize the Create Model button to make models. Over the right side, you should find a concealed panel for Fields, which is triggered by hitting the Fields button. Drag the correct field type onto the model’s panel.

You will be presented with a form to fill in your field’s attributes. Do note at the bottom there’s a pink button labeled Advanced. Pressing it shall broaden the -panel to give you more field attributes you can allow. Use the Reference field to define this relationship. You can add this field to any comparative part; GraphCMS will generate the contrary relation field in the referenced model automatically. You’ve now completed the first part. Let’s now provide some data to your models. To add content to your models, you can merely click on the Content tab in the project dashboard where you can create new records for every of your models.

However, if you discover this to be always a sluggish method, you’ll be happy to know that I’ve created a GraphCMS migration tool that copies data from CSV data files and uploads these to your GraphCMS database. You can find the task in this GitHub repository here. Next, you’ll need to grab your GraphCMS project’s API token and endpoint from the dashboard’s Settings web page. You’ll need to make a new token. For the permission level, use OPEN, as this will allow the tool to perform WRITE and READ procedures on your GraphCMS database. Next, you may need to populate the CSV files in the info folder with your personal. The content can be changed by you if you’d like.

Make sure not to touch the top row, as you’ll change the field names in any other case. Please be aware, for the column categories, I’ve used the pipe | character as a delimiter. Each script shall print out records which have uploaded successfully. The reason we uploaded categories first is so the posts records can link successfully to existing category records. This script shall delete all your model’s contents.
